18th hole at Petawawa Golf Course

Good Morning grateful golfers!

I will be updating later, however after the first day, I shot a 5 over 76. I am 5 strokes back and I feel comfident I can do better. With a 42 front and 34 back, there is much room for improvement.

I plan on a more detailed post later today. In the meantime, I am a grateful golfer!

Headimg to the links, have a great day.

Course Review: Seguin Valley Golf Club

Jim and Blair at Sequin Valley Golf Club

Sequin Valley should be on your list of must play courses. I recently ventured down to Parry Sound for a round of golf and the full Sequin Valley experience. During the entire trip, we talked extensively about the positives of this course and both walked away very impressed. I can tell you from the very start, I was not disappointed. Because of my positive experience with the course and staff, I am already planning a trip for next year.  Continue reading

Challenges With Alignment

It is amazing that any golfer can go from playing well to playing poorly with just one swing. In my case, this downward spiral happens when chunking an easy chip. I am not sure exactly why this happens, but it definitely has something to do with my alignment. Additionally, it happens when I am trying to be ‘too cute’ instead of being aggressive. When this happens, negative thoughts creep into my mind and it is a struggle for the rest of the round. Does this ever happen to you? Continue reading
