Consistent Chipping Lowers Our Golf Score

Every golfer chips the golf ball. Unless you are playing mini-putt, getting the ball up and down through consistent chipping is a fundamental skill we all require. I am always on the lookout for chipping drills and I found some from Scratch Golf Academy. I like them because they are easy, simple to replicate, and offer a chance to improve our short game.

What I like about these drills is they focus on hand, arm and body position when chipping. Many times we amateurs have too much movement in our body when making a chip and this causes more errors than we can count. The skill of chipping does take some touch and ingenuity, but first we need to be able to consistently hit the ball. These drills focus on this exact requirement.

What I like best about the drills is that there is nothing special required to perform them. It just takes practice and patience. Lowering our golf scores can be directly linked to our up and down percentage. The high the percentage, the lower the score.

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
