Pull carts are very common on the golf course. I think I see more people pushing their clubs around the course vice carrying. However, this article will cover carrying etiquette as well. Many people think that because I am pushing their clubs that little to no damage can happen to the golf course. This thinking is folly and consideration needs to be given to your playing partners and to protecting the golf course. There are a few commonsense actions that all golfers should take and adhere. They are not difficult, but when followed will improve your overall experience for you and other golfers.
The following video sums up how we should use our pull carts or carry bags. They are not difficult and are easy to follow:
I can honestly say that I follow all of these commonsense points about 98% of the time. I cannot say 100% of the time because I have broken a couple of these guidelines from time to time. However, I do follow them and try to set an example for the younger players when pushing my golf clubs.
Golf etiquette is a real thing. These unwritten guidelines are designed to make everyone’s experience on the golf course a pleasurable one. Following the commonsense push and carry points are a perfect example of what you as a player can do to improve your golf experience.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links.
