Do You Wear Jewelry Golfing?

In the past, I always removed my jewelry because I thought it interfered with my swing. Additionally, wearing rings would hurt my fingers so I always removed everything. Over the years, as my grip improved, I relented and now wear my wedding ring. That is the only piece of jewelry I wear and I do not plan to change that anytime soon. Additionally, I was thought that wearing something like a watch would affect the tempo of my swing.

How Much Is Too Much Golf?

Obviously, the quick answer from most avid players is that there is never too much golf. Well, I will admit that I think that golf is very important past time – hobby – lifestyle, there is a time where I find that I need a short break from the game. I need to recharge my batteries, both physically and mentally, and step away to do different things. The challenge is to know when that time is before it becomes a forced rest.

Protecting Your Golf Course

The weather this spring is extremely hard on the my home golf Course of Osprey Links. The maintenance team is working extremely hard to elevate our course into awesome playing condition. As they work diligently to fix the extensive damage, I believe that it is every golfers responsibility to care for the course and help protect it from further damage. There are many ways to help and as a habit, we should adopt all of them!

Fighting With My Short Game

I generally have a solid shot game or at least I think so. Unfortunately, I have struggled on the greens lately for no apparent reason. My putting numbers have grown only by 3, but that number is the difference between 77 and 74. At my course, I need to shoot 74 half the time out to maintain my handicap. So, for now that is my target number. As the rest of my game improves, my putting seems to be holding me back!

Which Golf Club Can You Live Without?

I carry 14 golf clubs; each has a specific purpose and sometimes I do not play a specific club for a round or two. However, when I need it, it is there. Over the years, I have honed my club selection and really could not part with one of these tools. Having said that, I did pose the question of which club you could live without on #GOLFCHAT on Tuesday and I was surprised with the answers.
