Do You Trash Talk Playing Golf?

I am not 100% certain that golfers do much trash talking. I understand we do poke fun during a friendly, however I am not so sure that it is acceptable to taunt your opponent during a tournament. I can say without hesitation that it has never happened during any group I played in during competition. Having said that, there does seem to be instances where trash talking / taunting is all part of the show.

Drop The Guise And Just Play Golf

Like many golfers, I have worried about how I looked playing golf. I wondered if my game was acceptable to hook up complete strangers. Because of my uncertainty, I would follow along with what others were playing even though I thought it was not the right shot at the time. If they hit the ball long, I would try and hit my ball long…..most of the time to my dismay. I would basically change how I played golf because I thought that it would be for everyone in my group. After failing miserably during many rounds, I had to learn to drop the guise of playing golf and actually play my game!

Thinking About Removing My Lob Wedge

From time to time, I like to adjust the clubs I carry in my bag. For the longest time, I have carried a lob wedge instead of a 5-wood. After years of playing the same way, I think it might be time to make a change. I only use my lob wedge every few rounds (if that) and think, for the time being, I would use my 5-wood more than my wedge. Additionally, I could easily substitute my sand wedge for those shots. Therefore, making the swap sounds like a good idea.

LOWER GOLF SCORES! This is the goal of every golfer. It does not matter what handicap you carry, every round of golf is a chance to shoot lower golf scores. The trick is hit the correct shot at the right time and to carry an endless bag of tricks. If you ever watched videos on how to make different shots with different clubs, I am sure you have come across using a hybrid for putting. It is not a difficult skill to master, but knowing when to use this specific stroke is the key to lowering your golf scores.

Closing Ranks To Finish Strong On The Golf Course

There are many times on the golf course where I have made the decision to tighten my game. The decision to adopt this course of action is not taken lightly, but it does require a conscious choice and some specific steps to accomplish my intent. I am not trying to be glib and evasive, but I am trying to convey that closing ranks on the golf course is a challenge in on its own. Thus, I have a process or method (of course I do….right) that helps me manage my game and lower my overall golf score.
