Even Following Your Golf Plan Well May Not Lead to Success

The Senior Scramble at Osprey Links was a fantastic event. Played yesterday, Rick and I teamed up again in an effort to play well enough to be in the top prizes. We had plan of being more aggressive than normal because we felt this was the way to have a shot at the top prize. This is an event that we look forward to playing because of the comradery, fantastic food, and the chance of winning. This year Rick and I were confident that this was our year because we developed a great plan; the only thing left was to execute this plan.

Three Bad Shots Cost Me Shooting Under Par

During my great round yesterday, After the first eight holes I felt I had a solid chance to shoot under par. This milestone is the golden ticket for me and I cruising towards success. I was hitting the ball very well, my chips were solid and my putting was smooth. It appeared that the stars had aligned and an under par score was in my grasp. Fighting Your Golf Swing Or Going With It

Through the course of any golf season, I encounter times when I fight my golf swing. My Golf Season Is Quickly Coming To An End

I realize that it is only the first of September, but around here the weather quickly changes. Thus, my play takes a dramatic turn to the left and I play less and less. Additionally, the temperatures can very between the middle of the night and morning, that we will be playing on golf course that is constantly wet with dew. Of course, we may get second summer, but that will not change the fact that it is time for me to start shifting my focus from playing golf to preparing for winter. Can you see my sad face as I write this last line. 😦

Putting Golf Clubs In the Penalty Box

Yesterday, I played a good round of golf, yet did not score well. I finished with a 79 and felt that I could have scored a great deal lower. I started off worse than normal, but after a few breakfast balls 😉 we started our round. Running to the first tee after 5 days of house renos left me a little tight, but I quickly loosened up. Anyway, without complaining about my start, I hit the ball well for most of the round. I did however, struggle with two clubs and I really felt like the should be relegated to the penalty box (sin bin). They let me down and cost me at least five strokes.
