With the number of golf balls I find over the course of a year (you are welcome Rick and Blair), I wonder if golf balls are really considered lost? We hit them deep into the woods, search for three minutes, and then carry on with a different ball in our hand. As we add two strokes to our scorecard we lament about another ball being lost!

Never Doubt You Have A Golf Game
One of the greatest challenges golfers face is their own self-doubt. It comes in many forms and “the can’ts” is one of the most challenging. Regardless of how the mental blockages to our game manifest, they cause us to doubt about all aspects of our game and adversely affect our golf scores. Have you ever been so angry on the golf course that you could just spit nails?! The only colour you see is red and nothing short of a miracle could talk you down. Or watching someone stomp around cursing, muttering under their breath or throwing clubs has you taking a step back and waiting for the tempest to past. Well, your instincts are correct and that person is not to be trifled with for the near future. It is at that moment that you realize that that golfer is fighting with the wrong person!

Next week the weather is suppose to take a turn for the better. On a couple of days, it is suppose to be above 15° C (60° F) and for the middle of October, that is amazing. After not playing for 2 weeks, I am getting the itch to swing my clubs one more time. I am still playing ping pong in my mind about playing, but I leaning towards dusting off the sticks.

Have you ever had the strangest feeling that you forgot something on your last golf shot? I get that feeling from time time to time and usually it is because I did! (Kind of like forgetting to write an article to be released earlier today, but that is another story…. 🙂 ) Solving this mystery or nagging feeling is a bit challenging, but not if you have a routine that sets you up for success on each shot. Even then, I sometimes scratch my head in disbelieve as I walk the 5 yards to hit my ball again.
