For millions of golfers in North America (and other parts of the world) golf is teetering on the edge of the abyss. In our case, the golf courses opened a few short weeks ago with many playing restrictions for the protection of the patrons and workers. However, the more we play, the more we golfers are likely to become complacent with the rules. This course of action is folly because one case of COVID-19 at the golf course and catastrophe strikes.

Is Hitting Greens and Fairways Boring Golf?
Over the many years of playing, I have heard my golf game described as boring. I hit the fairway and greens more often than not and do not seem to make many poor shots (believe me I do, but they seem to go unnoticed). It is the nature of my game that I have honed over the many years of playing. After a discussion with Andre, a friend I met last year golfing, he suggested that I need to take a slightly more aggressive approach to my golf game. Who needs course management? Is it really an important part of anyone’s golf game? The short answer to both of those is YES! Course management is very important to my golf game and I use it as much as possible when looping the track. If this is the case, why would I ever consider throwing it out the window and revert to an iffy way of playing golf? That is a great question and there is only one answer!

Golf season is back and I have played three times in three days with the fourth being today. This year started like no other and looks to continue for some time. I know that the team at Osprey Links are working diligently to make our golfing experiences the best they can be and for that I am grateful. However, after playing three times, I can tell you that very little of our experiences will be considered normal or routine. However, I accept that and will move on with trying to be a better player.

The golf season has finally arrived! I will be golfing at Osprey Links today and I cannot overstate how excited I am to hit the links. The funny thing is that we have been waiting for the Ontario Government to give permission due to their COVID 19 restrictions, but in my area the weather is just now cooperating. So, it is unlikely we would have started much sooner anyway. Regardless, I am hitting the links today!
