Who needs course management? Is it really an important part of anyone’s golf game? The short answer to both of those is YES! Course management is very important to my golf game and I use it as much as possible when looping the track. If this is the case, why would I ever consider throwing it out the window and revert to an iffy way of playing golf? That is a great question and there is only one answer!

Golfing in 2020 – Accepting Changes
Golf season is back and I have played three times in three days with the fourth being today. This year started like no other and looks to continue for some time. I know that the team at Osprey Links are working diligently to make our golfing experiences the best they can be and for that I am grateful. However, after playing three times, I can tell you that very little of our experiences will be considered normal or routine. However, I accept that and will move on with trying to be a better player.

The golf season has finally arrived! I will be golfing at Osprey Links today and I cannot overstate how excited I am to hit the links. The funny thing is that we have been waiting for the Ontario Government to give permission due to their COVID 19 restrictions, but in my area the weather is just now cooperating. So, it is unlikely we would have started much sooner anyway. Regardless, I am hitting the links today!

I volunteered to be the chairperson of the 2020 Osprey Links Match Play Tournaments. Like last year, I offered to help lighten the administrative load of the awesome Osprey Links staff by spearheading the member’s only Stroke and Net Match Play events. The winner of each event receives a parking spot adjacent to the clubhouse. These coveted parking spots drew out 42 players last year and we are hoping for more this year!

How many times have we complained about an unlucky bounce. About that time you had a great round going until something completely unexpected changed everything. Probably more times than when a good bounce lowered your golf score. Well, being a grateful golfer, I choose to remember the good bounce and whine about the bad. It is a mental approach that has really helped keep my game grounded over the years.
