Being a Grateful Golfer

Gratitude and GolfI believe that being grateful is the cornerstone to great golf, however golf is not the only thing being grateful enhances. My 3 foot space is something I try to improve every day. I think it is important to leave a situation, place, or encounter in better condition than when I found it. This tall task is sometimes very difficult, but the rewards far exceed the effort. Being a grateful golfer is no different.

There is no secret formula to being a grateful golfer. Like all things in life, it takes a conscious effort to develop a state of mind that empowers us. And to develop this mindset can be challenging and easy at the same time. It must take some sort of activity. Continue reading

At The End, It Is All About The Game

We can discuss all things golf forever and still not run out of things to talk about. My favorite topic deals with the personal stories from fellow golfers. I like reading about the trials and tribulations of amateurs as they navigate their way around the links. It helps me relate to the challenges of my own game.

Fortunately, I have found many interesting blogs (mostly golf) to help expand my knowledge and perspective on playing great golf. Additionally, through the power of social media, I have connected with many like-minded golfers who enjoy sharing their thoughts and views. For this I am grateful. All these contacts have improved my game in many ways, yet is really about me or the game? Continue reading

Storing Your Clubs During the Off Season

Taking care of your golf clubs is very important. Most of us invest thousands of dollars in our equipment; without proper care, they could prematurely wear out or break. In the northern climes, we have an extended off-season that forces us to store our clubs until needed in the spring.

Each year, I have a routine to ensure my sticks are ready for next spring. The process is nothing special but, in addition to my equipment, it helps provide closure to the sadness of the end of golf season. Of course, this is a bit dramatic, however storing my clubs properly protects my equipment and allows me to take stock on anything needing replacement. Continue reading

#GolfChat Does It Again

Monthly, a group of #GolfChat authors pool their thoughts to produce outstanding golf articles. Normally, I am part of this élite group of writers (okay we are just writers), however I was unable to participate this month.

Regardless, I think it is still important to pass on to my avid readers what they have to say. Each author provides a unique view on golf well worth reading. I think you will be interested to hear what they have to say, so let’s get to it! Continue reading

Making The Top 50 Golf Blog

Four days ago, I was nominated by Golf Assessor as one of the top 50 blogs on the web. I am quite honored and I am currently 30th overall.

The list has many popular names that I follow and read. And if you look down the list, the blog in position 24 will be well know to the Grateful Golfer Community.

I want to thank Golf Assessor for the nomination and look forward to moving up the list!
