Have you ever tried to write something for a diverse group of people with only one common thread. I can tell you from experience that it is a challenge at the best of times. This will be my first article in three days because I was engaged in growing my golf interests and did not have time to write articles. The break was great because it gave me time to recharge my thinking cap so I can move forward with some articles that might peak the interest of our regular and new readers.

Experimenting With Different Golf Balls
The great debate continues about whether a more expensive ball plays better than a less costly one. As a rule, I use an expensive ball (Pro V1 and Pro V1x) in the warm days of summer and a Wilson 50 in the early spring and fall. We figure we left four strokes on the course, but that is the way it goes during tournaments.

In preparation for this two day event, we played our practice round yesterday with the intent of learning as much about the course as possible before we tee it up on Saturday. Blair and I have played this fun course in the past, but yesterday was an eye opener as the course has changed in the past 10 years. Blair took the lead on the strategy of our round because he played Clear Springs more, hence he shared his experience for the entire round. I learned a fair bit and I think we are ready for our tee time early Saturday morning.
