Golf is an exhilarating and frustrating sport. I can to from the high of highs to the low of lows in just one or two strokes. Being mentally capable of ‘rolling with it’ is something I developed over the years. Unfortunately, I have found that, lately, I am more vocal over poor shots than in the past. I am not sure why, but it is time to stop the negative thinking and to focus on being positive regardless of my golf swing. It is something I have intentionally worked on for years, now is not the time to revert to poor times.

My Worst Round Of The Year!
After 34 rounds of golf posted towards my handicap for the 2020 season, yesterday I post my worst score of the year. I am not really sure how it happened, but I could not seem to get anything rolling. I did not do anything incredibly poor, but I did not do anything brilliant either; it was a bland round that resulted in a very poor score. But not to worry, I am still a grateful golfer and I looking forward to teeing it as soon as possible.

I am overwhelmed and elated at the recent resurgence in interest at The Grateful Golfer. I was looking at the tombstone data about my blog and realized I had hit one of original goals of 500,000 visitors.
Starting my golf musings in May 2012, I have used my writings as a way to cope with my health and mental challenges that started in 2009. Surprisingly, you the reader responded by continuing to support me every step of the way. For that I am truly grateful!

What is the Most Enjoyable Part of Golf?
