Happy Easter!

As the sun peeks through the trees, I am reminded of all the awesome things in my life for which I am grateful! I take the time everyday to say thank you and to cherish these special things.

Happy Easter! Golf season is just around the corner!

Easter marks the last milestone of winter and the first Major of the new golf season. The Masters starts in a few days and as I patiently wait; I am like a young child hunting for Easter treats!

But today is not about golf. It is a celebration of faith. I wish all of you a Happy Easter and hope your day is full of happiness and joy!

Re-Gripping my Golf Clubs

Image from PGA.comIt is time to regrip my golf clubs. I dropped them off at my buddy who is going to put them on for me (thanks Blair) so I can start my season fresh. I found that all my clubs  were worn at both thumb locations; hence this tells me that I have a slight grip problem. Effectively, I am usually gripping my club to tightly when making my swing. On a randomly warm, sunny Sunday afternoon in January, I snuck out with two friends for nine holes of winter golf.  And something happened that utterly ruined a perfectly nice round that, frankly, I’m still mad about two months later.  So I’m hoping that committing the episode to writing will provide some cathartic relief.

I really try to keep a relatively long anger fuse, but every once in a while….

My rage has nothing to do with the way I played, anything my friends did, the wintry conditions of the course, or the pace of play.  It has to do with almost getting seriously injured, or worse, because of some Idiot did something that we all contemplate but rarely ever are dumb enough to actually do.

This Idiot hit into us from the tee.  His drive landed three feet left of me and two feet in front of me…with me…

Using a Simulator For Golf Practice
