Is it easy to consistently break 90? Depending on who you ask, the answer is a resounding yes or no! Developing a consisting swing is definitely the desired step, however this is not always the case and as such, other strategies are needed to for the player looking to lower their score below bogey golf. It is definitely possible, but will take effort to achieve this momentous milestone.

Chipping from 50 Yards
This post is a follow on from my ‘How To Play An Approach Shot From 50 Yards‘ back in May. I floated the idea of using a pitching wedge to basically drive to the ball softly to the green. It is working so well that I have expanded this type of approach shot out to 150 yards. It is not a difficult shot, but allows me to stay in control during adverse weather conditions. It is really working for me and it might for you as well.

Today, I am playing in a 3-person with my friends Blair and Rick. It is going to be a great time and our results will depend on who shows up today. All three of us have struggled at various times, however when we are all on, we have a good chance to be in the prizes. Regardless, I like to play with a strategy….at least for the first few holes. 😉

My last 27 holes of golf were in very wet conditions. Because of this, I had go adjust many things about my game. This is not an unusual occurrence and is that happens several times throughout the year. Because of these changes (which I will outline below), my course management strategy needs tweaking and so does my swing plane. It all seems very complex, but in fact it really is not that difficult; it is all about adjusting the the playing conditions.

Over the past dozen years or so, my golfing friends have asked for advice about their swing. Of course I am not an expert or a teaching professional, but they felt comfortable asking what I saw. In many cases there were multiple issues, but there was one piece of advice I told most players. It was not earth shattering, but would solve many of their issues if they would just remember to follow it for every swing.
