Have you ever missed a tee time because you forgot? You know, life took over and you did not hit your tee time! I am trying to think if there ever was a time that I just forgot to go to the golf course. I don’t thinks so, but of course over 45+ years of playing golf it is entirely possible. Definitely not over the past 20 years, yet when I was younger……well, we will just move on.

Retro Post About Taking 100 Swings A Day
Habitually, I think about how to maximize my efforts when using the DYI driving net over the winter. As I was perusing YouTube, I stumbled across a video by Hank Haney; which by the was was posted on Brian Penn’s page. Then I remembered about a post I commented on by Brian Penn dealing with taking 100 practice swings a day. It was fate, so I figured I do more research and this is what I found out.

Can you remember back to when you first started golfing. I wonder if you just picked up a club and started whacking away. When I first started, that is exactly what I did. I actually never practiced for the first 15 years after I swung my first club. I play a great deal and I guess that was considered my practice. Until 30 years ago, when I started practicing, I would suggest I bounce around at whatever part of my game that needed fixing that day.

One of the major discussions on the PGA Tour in 2020 is the drastic change in Bryson DeChambeau’s swing. His monstrous drives have eclipsed the imagination of many players and I am fairly sure that many golfers will try to emulate his success. Personally, I see little chance that I would be able to come close matching the powerful swing, but it is fun to watch.
