Do you play the same club from the same distance all the time? For example, you are sitting at 150 yards and likely hit a 7 iron 95 times out of 100. Have you ever thought of hitting a 6 iron to see what happens. I have discussed clubbing up on shots before in tough conditions in order to swing easier and under more control. This is kind of the same principle, but my thoughts are to club up during the same conditions that you want hit that 7 iron. My thoughts are that by having more than one option on approach shots and to expand your course management strategies.
Continue readingAnother Drop Shot For No Reason

Every time we hit the links, we have hopes of having the best round of our lives. It is the euphoria that all golfers feel when they have hope shining in their future. Unfortunately, as the round progresses our hope changes to trepidation when we drop a shot for no reason. There are many reasons why we drop a shot for no reason, but actually there is one core reason why we add strokes to our score and it is completely avoidable!
Continue readingMy Review Of The Windermere Golf and Country Club
The moment I stepped onto the grounds of the Windermere Golf and Country Club, I was impressed. Everything about the course screamed pride of ownership and professionalism. As I surveyed the property waiting for our tee time, it was evident that Windermere was not some run of the mill golf course. The day was going to be more than just golf, it was going to be a whole golfing experience. I was introduced to Jim Rennie by my friend and playing partner Mike. It was easy to see why the staff at Windermere were professional and courteous because Jim was the epitome of these characteristics. From the very beginning, our golf experience was proving to be very memorable. And the whole day only improved as we hit the links.

Hitting a 3 wood off the fairway is a challenge for many golfers. We either hit the ball thing or hit the ground before the ball. From time to time, I will experience these hitting errors, but I learned many years ago how to successfully make solid contact with 3 wood. I know what the error is for my game, but I thought I would turn to a professional to properly explain the challenge and how to fix it.
Continue readingHave A Fantastic Friday!
I played golf with my good friend Marc yesterday and we had a fantastic time. It was a time to continue to reconnect, hit some great shots, and relish in the beauty of walking the course. As I sit here thinking about my past week of golf, I am very grateful for the wonderful opportunities to repeatedly experience the my passion. How blessed am I.
I do not have any golf words of wisdom today, but I thought I would wish everyone a Fantastic Friday.

Enjoy your day!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
