How many times have you hit the perfect putt only to graze the lip. It looked like your ball was heading for the center of the cup until it veers off at the last minute. Well, this unfortunate happenstance occurred no less than 5 times in my last round, talk about frustrating!

I do not know of any golfer who does not comment on the speed of the green during their round of golf. I know over the years I have discussed (actually complained) about the speed of the green from time to time. Looking back, I understand my frustration at the time, but have to remind myself that I have to play the conditions of the day and complaining is a waste of breath. I am not the type of golfer who remains completely loyal to one particular brand. I have tried many brands of clubs over the years and have settled on my current set because these clubs fit that particular aspect of my game. Except for my new irons, I have used the same brand of other clubs for years. For some reason, each fits my game and produces the best results when called upon. I do not find this unusual because I think most golfers finds what works and sticks it.

As I return from a back injury, I decided to play at 3/4 speed for the first 18 holes. It was amazing that I really did not lose much in distance (actually hit some farther than normal) or accuracy. I learned several things other aspects of my game that I feel is definitely worth sharing. It was very enlightening for me and as such, I will use what I learned yesterday to improve my game moving forward.
