I have found this putting drill very useful improving my ability to make those clutch short putts. Sometimes called a star drill, I have my version called 3-6-9 drill. I used it recently to correct my putting woes. I was hitting the ball off the toe of my putter for some reason. I know now, I was coming over the top with my putting stroke. All fixed! Emotional Golf – A Good or Bad Thing?
We all remember the Patrick Reed/ Rory McIlroy match during last years Ryder Cup. It was an epic battle of emotion by both players. Neither could gain an advantage over the other trough intimidation or brilliant play. Going on at the same time, was two wily veterans showing less emotion, but as much intensity for their game; of course that match was between Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia. In all cases, emotions were riding high and it seemed to propel these great players to new and more exciting emotional level for the fans. Both matches were awesome to watch!

I totally agree with this assessment and while reading, your head moving up and down suggests you do to.
I have researched many aspects of hitting the ball in play off the tee and I have found that there is a normal convention that all experiments support. Specifically, the concept of how high to tee your golf ball on the tee. This fundamental act sets the foundation for a great score and yet is often overlooked. Well not today! Continue reading
