Overswinging And Pulling My Golf Ball Left

Yup, it is back. For some reason I am overswing and pulling my ball left. This swing hitch happens a few times a year and usually at the most inconvenient time. I know I am making all kinds of swing errors by the direction of my divot and the fact that my ball ended up in the woods a few times during my last round. 🙂 I have a sure fire fix for my swing woes and it does not take much time.

Golf Training Aids

There are many golf training aids on the market. Selecting the right one for your game is a challenge and sometimes detrimental. Over the years, I have used many aids and I have found three that have proven to help my game. One helps with putting, the other swing tempo, and the last is for alignment. Over the years, I have tried many different golf training aids and these three have proven to help my game. Training aids are good for your golf game, if (and this is a big if) it helps your game.

Proper Alignment Off The Tee Is The First Step To Great Golf

The proper alignment off the tee is important to low golf scores. I realize that this is an obvious statement, yet I watch many players forget to align their shot off the tee (and from the fairway). They pick a line, walk up to their ball and hit. Then wonder why their ball is not heading where they intended and they are left with a more difficult shot to the green. All because they were misaligned due to their an improper set up.

Advance Golf Drill – Putting

Putting is a very important skill to master for shooting low scores in golf. It is the core skill in my game and I am constantly working to improve my putting. Each round I play, I have a target number of 28 putts. It matches the PGA Tour average, but it is a realistic goal I meet or beat 50% of the time. My score is directly affected by how well I putt during the round, so I have high expectations.

To meet my high expectations, I work on my short game often. I try different drills and techniques to keep my putting sharp. Recently, I offered a simple putting drill for beginners. It involved two alignment sticks and three golf balls.
