The types of golf balls being offered to all golfers is ridiculous. The marketing campaign is definitely enticing to the uninformed and I have to admit that I fell into the trap myself. With dozens of manufacturers, it is a challenge to separate the wheat from the chaff with respect to the ball that works best for your game. Recently, I conducted an impromptu experiment where I used a distance, soft, 90 compression and 50 compression golf ball in the same round. I will not talk about the makes as I do not want to get into brand loyalty or who makes the better ball. The point of my article is to highlight the differences in performance (in my game) with each ball.

Changing Golf Balls To Improve My Game
The discussion rages on about which golf ball is the best for each player. I have buoy with the idea of changing golf balls in order to improve my game, but I have decided to try and find some success this season. The challenge for many players is the cost of golf balls in relation to the value received. This is my current situation and I seem to be at a standstill on which direction to follow. That is until recently. I have made a decision and we shall see if it is a good one over the course of the summer.

I am confident you have hit at least a dozen different types of golf balls over the course of a year (or round 😉 ). I know I have tried so many different types of golf balls, I cannot even recall how many. However, I have settled on three balls and generally stick to them for my entire season.
