Three Driver Faults That Limit Your Distance

If you are a golfer who struggles with your driver, I know I do from time to time, it could be because you are hitting the ball too low on the clubface. I know this swing fault is something that I worked on for years. Over the past two years, I tried to force a swing change by adjusting my ball position and tilting my shoulders more on setup. All my adjustments did was create more swing challenges and poor driver contact. I went back to my old swing and realized that I was approaching my desire to improve distance off the tee all wrong. Thus, as I stated in previous articles, I reverted back to what was working and concentrated on improving what was already working. What I realized is that I was creating the conditions to hit the ball low on my driver face. I fixed my challenges on my own, but I wish I had some guidance from Christina Ricci sooner.

Every golfer can recognize a player with great touch around the green. Their ball always finishes within a reasonable distance for an easy putt. As they watch the ball roll out, they assume that the results of where the ball finishes is the key to great touch around the green. A Drill To Improve Golf Ball Contact

The ability to coordinate all body movements to make solid contact is challenging at best. If you are an aspiring golfer like me, any advantage gained is one that is hard to overlook. I found a straight arm drill years ago that help me improve my swing, but for some reason I have lacked in practice to sustain previous successes. Regardless, I have found a video reminding me that I need to practice this simple, repeatable drill to improve my control, balance and weight shift through contact.

Open To Golf Suggestions

Golf is a game that requires a fair bit of attention to master. I only know of a few players that I would consider to be naturals and even they have to put the time into be a better player. Generally, better players stick to their own game and avoid offering suggestions to less skilled players, even when asked. They understand that what works for them does not necessarily work for other players; especially if the receiver of the suggestion is not will to work on their game.
