Golf is a game that requires any player to make a decision on when to save strokes by taking strokes. Where we drop the ball out of a penalty, whether to take take an unplayable lie, hitting a provisional or punching the ball out of deep rough all have an impact on our golf score. In some cases we need to accept our medicine to ensure we shoot the lowest score possible. I have learned through the years that taking strokes from time to time actually saves me strokes in the long run.

Hitting Your Driver Farther In One Easy Lesson
Watching the 2022 PGA Championship was great entertainment. Of course congratulations are in order for Justin Thomas for his win in a playoff, but that was not my takeaway from the second Major of 2022. What I notice the most was the amazing drives that all the professionals seemed to perform over and over again. Also, Tommy Fleetwood says so!

My PSA might sound like a no-brainer, yet as my season is beginning it is important to remember to say protected on the golf course. Hydration is a critical health requirement when playing golf and it is easy to overlook carrying water when playing. Personally, I always carry one litre of water as a minimum because I have felt the affects of dehydration on the golf course and it is not fun. Ensuring we are physically ready for playing golf in the heat will transfer to lower golf scores most of the time.
