And The Lockdown Continues

For those who may not be aware, my province initiated a stay at home order back in early April. Well, today they just announce the extension of that order until 2 June. This means no golf for another 19 days. Of course I am on the “golf is safe” side of the argument, but in this case my vote does not count. COVID has kick the stuffing out of many people and if my biggest worry is that I cannot golf for another 3 weeks, then my life is very blessed (and it is). My First Round Went As Expected – Sort Of

My first round of golf for 2021 is in the books. On Monday past, Blair, Rick, Fernando and I teed up for the first of many rounds to come. My 2021 Golf Season Starts Today!

The day is finally here and I will be teeing it up for the first time in 2021. I have waited, prepared, and dreamed about this day and thought it would never come. And as my first round of the year, I have some expectations that will help guide me on my way.

Looking Good At Osprey Links Golf Course

Spring is here! The temperatures are warming up, the snow is disappearing and my home course of Osprey Links is looking awesome. Spring has come a bit earlier this year and as a result we can still expect a few days of craziness….and the first one is today. The best thing about the rain, sleet and snow is that it will not stay and the extra moisture will not hurt the course. We just need some sun so things can dry up.

Getting Ready For Golf Season

It is about that time of year when my golf juices really get flowing. We just had two days of double digit highs and the snow has receded by at least half. This generally means that it is time for me to start looking at the season ahead. But hold on a moment, it is still at least 4 to 5 weeks before golf courses in my area will be open for business. This timeline leads me to wonder what I should do that will slowly prepare me for my first hit of the season!
