Team Europe
The Leader at The Ryder Cup
Every two years, one player stands above the rest. This player is on top of their game and easily defeats any challenger. Last year, Team USA’s big winner was Patrick Reed and Team Europe’s was Thomas Pieters. They both lead their respective teams with the most points and in the case of Reed, provided some fire sadly missing from previous USA teams. This year, Reed is back, but composition of the team is different and his antics might not fit this team. I guess we shall see soon enough; the real question remains of who is going to be the top player for Team USA and Team Europe. Continue reading
Solhiem Cup 2017
The Solheim Cup has finally arrived. It is women’s golf answer to the Ryder Cup. In my opinion, it is every bit exciting.
The 2017 Solheim Cup will be hosted at Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Iowa, August 14 – 20, 2017.
The Solheim Cup is a biennial tournament contested by teams of 12 players representing Europe and the United States. The inaugural Solheim Cup was staged in 1990 and the golf club manufacturer Karsten Solheim was instrumental in its introduction and why it is called the Solheim Cup..
2017 will be the 15th match and of the 14 matches contested, the United States have won 9 and Europe have won 5. Solheim Cup

Unlike other golf tournaments, including the Majors, the Ryder Cup brings out the ultra-competitive nature of everyone. Playing for their country is one thing, playing for the team is a bonus but ultimately these 24 players are playing for themselves and because of that, controlling their emotions can be very difficult. The Real Ryder Cup Review for 2016
I am not one for stats in a competition like the Ryder Cup. Each player, regardless of their history have to perform when the time comes. I guess that is the same for every tournament, but a head-to-head event like the Ryder Cup is something special.
During this year’s Ryder Cup, there were three things that made the difference: the Captian’s, the singles matches, and the interaction between player and fans. Each played a significant role as to why Team USA played to victory! Continue reading
