When Did You Start Playing Golf

Junior Golfers is are critical to golf!

I started golfing when I was 13 years old. My Dad introduced me to the game, showed the fundamentals and let me go at it. I played a great deal of golf until I was 18 years old and then life took over. It was not until I was 29 that my passion rekindled and I have not looked back. I always had a passion for golf, but 28 years ago is when I really fell in love with hitting a little white ball into a small hole. Yet, I wonder where my game would be if I started golfing just a bit earlier in life. Continue reading

I Am Tired of Golf Already

The season has not even started and I am tired of golf already……no, that is not right. I am tired of waiting for golf. I get so confused sometimes. The two-edged sword of hitting the pin can make or break your round. I have experienced this highs and lows of seeing my strike the stick many times. And believe it not, I would prefer if my ball never hit the pin, but landed beside it. Before you start calling me crazy, hear me out. Continue reading

Is Phil Mickelson Competitive?

Golf is an amazing sport. It allows many athletes to play well into their 60s at a competitive level. By examining the abilities of professional golfers, it is sometimes difficult to determine if an aging legend has the skills to remain playing at an elite level.

This article was inspired by Brian at All About Golf, his article on Tiger Woods is worth reading. He asks some tough questions that apply to any golfer whose golfing woes seem insurmountable. However, what about that player who appears in the thick of things most weeks, but just cannot garner a trip to the winners circle. Continue reading
