Congratulations to Brooks Koepka for winning the Wanamaker Trophy. His win yesterday was his third PGA Championship and fifth Major in his career. I am not surprised as I chose him to win earlier in the week. (Not to mention Victor Hovland to be second) Koepka found is form from the past when he was almost unbeatable and he looks to be on his way to rack up a few more Majors over the next few years. However, his win was not the only highlights of the tournament that caught the my attention.

The Last Round Of The 2023 PGA Championship
As I predicted a few days ago, my top two selects are in the running for the 2023 PGA Championship. Brooks Koepka and Viktor Hovland will be in the final pairing on Sunday afternoon. It will be interesting to see if either can have a quick start to put pressure on the players chasing them for the Wanamaker Trophy. The player I am watching the most is Corey Connors, Canadian, who had one bad hole yesterday to drop out of the lead. With a virtual whose who filling out the top 10 players on the leaderboard, it really is anyone’s tournament to win. With so many great players vying for the win, have you wondered what it would take to close the deal?

The first day at the Masters was exciting. With 44 players sitting at even or better (just over half), moving day is shaping up to be exciting. Three players shot minus 7 to lead the field as I expected. Hovland, Rahm and Koepka’s score is two lower than I thought, they did establish themselves as the players to beat. Now that Friday is here, Augusta National will start to rear its toughness expected by many during the first round. However, the playing conditions were perfect and 44 players refused to bow to the pressure. So what is instore for Moving Day at this year’s Masters? Can the players respond with the same scoring now that the weather is starting to roll in?
