Below is an excerpt of the article I wrote for Pundit Arena. Click here to read all the details.
The difficulty in picking a PGA Champion in 2015 is the field. With so many first-time winners in 2015, any streaking player could knock of the heavy favourites while they trade punches up and down the fairway. The variables are astounding and even the slightest hitch could derail any players dream of winning the PGA Championship.
- Dark-Horse – Phil Mickelson.
- Finishing third – Dustin Johnson.
- Finishing Second – Jordan Spieth.
- The PGA Championship winner – Rickie Fowler.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the article.
Who is your pick for this weekend?

Jim,
I like your list. I like Jason Day this week. He’s got the game for this course, plus I find it really easy to pull for him. I’d be thrilled to see Rickie win, though. Many more great storylines….lets get this thing started!!

I was on the fence about Jason Day, so many possibilities. I would not be disappointed to see him win either. You are right, lets get this thing started!

Jim, I like that Fowler pick but have him third this week with Spieth winning it and Bubba 2nd. I dont like Tiger though because the course sets up poorly for him. Very surprised if he plays the weekend. Let’s get it on! Thanks. Brian

Great choices. I am surprised you do not have DJ in there somewhere. Spieth is always a great choice. I am ready for the games to begin.

Jim. Something is going on with DJ. Didn’t like the way he finished at The Open or Bridgestone. I wonder if the finish at Cambers Bay is in his head, just a wee bit. Rapidly ascending BPTNWAM rankings. Let’s see if he can hold together late this time. Brian

I can see where you coming from. It is such a fine line between awesome and ordinary on the pro tour. I still do not think he will win this year, but he will be in the hunt for sure.
Cheers
