FedEx Cup is Almost Over

With the 10 million dollars on the line this weekend at the Tour Championship, the remaining 30 players are excited to tee it up at East Lake GC, Atlanta. I have said earlier that I am not overly excited about the FedEx Cup and that has not changed. I do, however, enjoy trying to pick the champion each week in my fantasy leagues.

I am in 4 leagues, but late entry has basically eliminated me from any potential winnings. To date, I have picked only one winner with a couple of second places. My lack of success this year has not quelled my continued efforts to succeed.

This week, I have decided to go with Rory McIlroy. His recent win at Deutsche Bank Championship will give him the confidence to win one last time in the 2016 golf season. During this win, he putted lights out and will have to do the same this weekend. If he does, I think he crushes the field.

I know many of you are leaning towards Jason Day or Dustin Johnson, but I am not sure they will rise to the occasion! First, Jason Day withdrew from BMW Championship with a sore back and does not have any chance of winning the FedEx Cup. Second, Dustin Johnson just has to finish in front of Patrick Reed for the big payday. So his motivation is to play safe and keep a watchful eye.

As I watch Rory McIlroy raise the Tour Championship trophy over his head, I will take solace in the fact that I have picked a champion one more time this season. What is your pick for this weeks tournament?

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
