The much anticipated golf Major is upon us! Golfers from all over the world will be tuned to their TVs and radios waiting for the next great shot. I will be one of those golfers as The Masters holds more significance than just a great golf tournament, but the start of my golf season. But we can talk about me another day!
I think it is important to note that as the greats tee up for the Par 3 tournament; Mr. Palmer will be looking down wishing everyone a fantastic tournament. Mr. Palmer will be remembered by all and sorely missed.
This year, I predict The Master will hold many surprises. I think it will be the year of the underdog. Except for Rory McIlroy putting on his green jacket, the top of the leaderboard will be riddled with unfamiliar names of journeyman golfers vying for second place.
Some of the players to watch out for this year are Justin Thomas, Adam Hadwin, Thomas Pieters and Kevin Kisner. Of course it is difficult to determine who is going to play well and who will under-perform, yet I have a crazy feeling that the big names will be overshadowed by the rising stars. Of course, on Monday everyone can laugh at me for my foolish inclining or maybe I will be the one smiling!
The Masters provides many memories including fantastic shots. Looking at the top 10 wins brings back many fantastic memories. I actually remember watching most of these shots. Specifically, the number 1 from the video is near and dear to my heart. Let me know what you think?

The Masters is here. The golfing world is waiting to some exciting golf. I am sure the first Major of 2017 will not disappoint. Will you be watching?
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Jim, I’m thinking the wind is going to bring some other players into contention that normally wouldn’t. Gonna be trouble for some of the high ball bombers. Sneaky good feeling about Zach Johnson, but I’m sticking with Jordan Spieth to win.
Thanks,
Brian
