A Golf Fix From Those Who Travel

There are lots of golf blogs and sites to see awesome pictures of golf courses. Although they provide a much needed service for those of us living in northern climes, I really do not have much of a connection to them. However, when friends send me pictures, I have a connection through them to the course and generally show more interest. Recently, a couple of friends sent me some pictures that I thought I would share.

The first is from Mike. He spends a great deal of time in the states and he sent me a couple pictures of Southern Dunes in Haines City, Florida. He said I would love the course and from the looks of the pictures (and website) he is right. Thanks Mike!

My other image is from Mike and Kathy. The don’t play golf yet made a special effort to send me a picture of a golf course near the locale. I am not sure of its name, but that is a minor point in the big scheme of things. Thanks Mike and Kathy.

It may seem silly to like the pictures sent by friends, but it helps me pass the winter away. With just 92 days to go before opening day, I have to do something to pass the time.

If you have pictures you want to share, send the on.

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

  1. If you come to Florida, and stay anywhere near Orlando, you really need to take a short road trip to the Brooksville area and play Pine Barrens at World Woods. It’s ranked #2 in the state. And Rolling Oaks, the other course at the facility is ranked 7th. Here’s an overview of Pine Barrens.
