With less than 3 weeks left in the golf season, I have decided to hang up my clubs. Currently, I am in the midst of moving into our new home. This entails painting, some flooring and long days of completing endless tasks. In the long run, moving will provide a better quality of life for my wife and I, so giving up the last month of golf is not a huge sacrifice. It is best to just call it and focus on getting ready for winter.
I wish I had some tips or perils of wisdom to offer today, but with the abrupt end to golf, I will have to sit and think about what is next. For sure, I will recap my year explaining the highs and lows. I kept more stats this year than ever, so I am excited to talk about them in the upcoming weeks.
For sure I am going to miss seeing my friends 4 or 5 times a week. In the winter we have a standing breakfast meeting to discuss all things golf and current events. This weekly meeting helps pass the 6 months of waiting for opening day in or around 15 April.
Although my season is officially over, I am still a grateful golfer. I will continue to discuss my thoughts for next year and will look forward to hearing about your golfing exploits. But, for now, it is time to head back to painting!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Hi Jim,
Wish you well for your move and hope it all goes smoothly. Come back to golf next year, refreshed, fit keen and eager to lower your handicap.
