The 2021 Masters Champion: Hideki Matsuyama

It was a nail biter, but Hideki Matsuyama overcame the immense pressure to win this year’s Green Jacket. After several suspect shots by Matsuyama, I thought he was going to succumb to the microscopic analyses of his ever move and fold. As it turned out, he played well enough to make that historic walk to Butler Cabin. Congratulations Hideki!

I am not going to recap all the shots (good and poor) by the players in contention. I do not think that it would serve any purpose. However, I do want to congratulate all the players for their outstanding effort. I enjoyed watching most of The Masters this year and I am already excited to see the action next year.

On a side note, I would like to mention that playing golf under pressure is a challenge. Playing golf at a high level is a challenge plus. The pressure of playing on Sunday at The Masters must be crushing. My hats off to all the players.

Congratulations Hideki Matsuyama on being crowned the 2021 Masters Champion!

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
