Unlike last year, there will be in store sales this boxing day. In the past, I would sometimes check things out just incase they drastically reduce the price of certain items. Well, this year I do not see anything different than in the past. Additionally, I feel zero compulsion to engage in non-essential shopping, eating and socializing especially given the change in the community over the past month. So, I have decided to just relax and enjoy more quality time with my family.
To be fair, this holiday has been very relaxing anyway. I have entered a few golf contests with no luck this year. Honestly, I have not really tried to win as often as in the past. Some great prizes were available such as drivers, wedges, putters, golf balls, and other accessories from various blogs and manufacturers. One of favourites is always Pete Pappas and his #ReleaseTheKringle campaign. Pete always has awesome giveaways and is must enter for me each year.

Another highlight is the start of the World Junior Hockey Tournament that will be played in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. This is always a highlight of the holiday season. Watching these young superstars play a Canadian dominated sport helps pass the time away during the transition from Christmas to the New Year! Then, I have to get my butt in gear and focus on my preparing for golf season.
This time of year is always a time for reflection where I acknowledge how grateful I am for the blessings in my life. We all have challenges, but I choose to focus on the great things like family, framily, friends and health. Without these, life can be very challenging and I am thankful for the many people in my 3 foot space.
In very short order, golf will be at the top of my list things to focus. But for now, I am going to relax and watch some hockey! I hope you have the opportunity to relax as well and enjoy the blessings in your life.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
Happy Christmas and thanks for your musings
