Do you have the luxury to play golf at anytime? I know if you live if Florida, this is strong possibility. However, living in Canada only have six good months of golf. During our shortened season, it is important to be ready to play golf at any time especially at the drop of a hat. My move to the the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort will off an opportunity to play and practice more golf at a cheaper cost and using less time. I am excited for my new opportunities to play golf at the drop of hat.

As my excitement grows, I have to keep my focus on still playing good golf. Sometimes sprinting off to the course will be fun as long as take the time prior to hitting the first ball to prepare to play. This process is not difficult, but not one I have had to worry about for the past 6 years. In the past, I would mentally prepare while driving to the course, now (being only 10 minutes away) I will have to ensure I take the time at the course to be mental in the moment to actually play good golf.

This year, I am going to actually putt and chip before every round. I will have the time due to the 1.5 hours I save in driving time. I think this small change in my routine will do wonders for my entire game. Additionally, my new course will have a driving range that I will avail myself of as often as possible. It is going to be an awesome experience and I can hardly wait.

Having said all of this, I still be able to go golfing at a drop of a hat. If I want to play a quick 9 in the evening, then off I will go. I plan to play more golf this year (if that is possible) in less time than in previous years. I will be able to scoot to the course to practice without worrying about how much time it will take. Golfing in 2022 is going to awesome.
