Last Minute Father’s Day Golf Gift

Sunday is Father’s Day! I bet some of you are scrambling trying to thing of what to get someone for Father’s Day. Well, as a golfer who loves any gift from his daughter, I have learned over the years to gently guide my daughter what to buy. It is not that I am a golf gift snob, but it is important that if I am receiving a golf gift it fit into my game. For the longest time, I asked for a specific type of golf balls and that was always a great choice, but not we have agreed that calling me on Father’s Day was the best gift I could ask for; however, others still like to get a present and I have a few suggestions.

As I said earlier, golf balls are always a great gift. I do you recommend you find out which balls your Dad likes to use and buy those. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is ask, but if you want to find out without asking, look in his golf bag. The most popular band in their bag is likely the ones they use most. Regardless on which golf balls you chose, most golfers cannot resist a dozen new golf balls.

If you are looking for a fantastic training aid, I recommend alignment sticks. They are invaluable to any golfer who is trying to improve their game. They are inexpensive (Under $25 Dollars) and it is a gift that keeps on giving. The uses for alignment sticks are endless. A quick search on YouTube will give you enough drills to keep your dad practicing for years. But here is a quick video from Michael Breed that might help:

The third gift I recommend is a new golf towel. Most golfers have rags on their bag (yes I am guilty of that in the past). Basically any towel will do because it used to clean our golf balls and clubs. You can get a towel with his favourite sports team or might be a good idea. But, I will leave that up to you to decide the best way to go.

Selecting a golf gift for your dad for Father’s Day is never easy. If you buy golf balls, alignment sticks, and a golf towel, I do not think you can go wrong. If you are still unsure, I recommend you just ask. Golfers are usually easy going when it comes to getting golf stuff on Father’s Day. the fact that you are thinking about them is really the best present of all on Father’s Day.

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

  1. Jim, great gift ideas especially the balls. Last Father’s Day, my daughter gave me a gift card to Top Golf and has been needling me ever since on how she’s going to defeat me when we play. Now, I’ve never played there but how tough can it be (shooting golf shots at targets). My daughter doesn’t play golf and I’m wondering where this attitude is coming from. Gentle beat down is coming shortly 🙂 The only chance she has is to get enough Top Golf beer into me to make it fair.

    Thanks,

    Brian

  2. Golf gifts always work. How come fathers don’t get a registry? We could send out notices. Reminders. Hints. Lists!! 😂 Just like the ones I paste on my children’s rooms doors.🤣 And the refrigerator and cupboards where all the food is. 🏌️‍♂️⛳
