Waiting For My Golf Course To Open

After watching the exciting action at the Masters, my desire for my local course to open has grown exponentially. I think we still have a couple of weeks, but the warm weather definitely stokes my competitive juices. While I wait, I will have to dig out my clubs from storage, give them a good cleaning and restock the supplies in my bag. It really is a matter of hurry up and wait!

Knowing that my golf season is going to start, it is time to get my body ready to play. I have an orange whip and orange peel in my garage I will have to start using on a regular basis in order to stretch out my back and hips. I did not use my driving net this winter as it always seemed to be too cold. Not to worry, I will get it set up outside this year and use it a bit more.

I did check my supply of golf balls and I have lots. I bought a few dozen Wilson 50 in the past so I am good there. I have a couple dozen Pro V1x for tournaments, so I am good there. I will have to check out my range finder, supply of batteries and my Garmin S80 to ensure they work. Additionally, it is time to cull some old golf shirts and make room for some new ones.

I did purchase a few new hats from Mike Johnny at 36aday.com. Mike is a great friend and he tossed in a couple extra hats as prizes for the upcoming golf tournaments I organize. I find his products superior in quality and worth the cost. If you are looking for a new golf hat, check out Mike’s online store. It will be worth your time.

Lastly, I need to check out my golf shoes. I have a couple spares and it is time to part with some older shoes that showed a great deal of wear after last year. I do not like throwing out golf shoes, but it is time to bring in the new. It is a yearly process as I prepare for my golf season.

My golf season is just around the corner. I have some chores to do in order to be ready on opening day and it is time to start. I am excited to see what 2025 has to offer and hopefully, I will play my best golf this year!

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

  1. I’m so spoiled. But I can’t help being thankful for the continued cool weather. Normally my air conditioner would have been running for at least a month if not two already.

But it also brings feelings of guilt because I know my lack of sweat is keeping you off the course. 🤪

Missed playing today for the first time in well over a month. Between a job I’m trying to finish, family needs, and a neighbors computer scare I couldn’t even squeeze in nine. Whoever said it’s good to be needed obviously wasn’t a golf addict. 😂
