Anyone who has tried to build anything out of wood will know the saying ‘measure twice, cut once’. It basically means to be sure of your measurements before using the saw. This is a great tip that saves time and money. This building tip is also valuable on approach shots. Knowing (and not guessing) the distance we want to shoot is difficult sometimes, but not if we take our time and know what distance we actually want to hit.

Anticipating or hoping for success on the golf course is not the mental frame of mind needed to shoot low golf scores. I believe that by setting my thoughts in the realm of success and then actively seeking ways to accomplish my thoughts has helped me find success on the links. Focusing on success in golf starts before I tee it up, but must be present during my round. If not, I might as well stay home and hope that I would have played well that day!

Yesterday, I played what is likely my last round of 2020. I know I have said this before, but the temperatures are really starting to turn and rain is in the forecast for the next 6 of 7 days. So, the chances of me rushing to the golf course is very low. However, yesterdays round of 79 was a great way to finish 2020 and I notice some cool things that I thought I would share.
