The Worst Time Of Year – Waiting for Golf To Start!

I have entered the time of year where times seems to have slowed to a slug like crawl. We have about 4 or 5 weeks of weather transition where most golfers in my area check the weather forecast at least three times daily. Personally, I one of those guys hoping that a sudden gust of warm weather magically falls around our region. But alas, that is not the case and I have to just patiently (not one of my stronger traits) wait for spring to arrive in earnest.

Golfers Avoiding Other Sports

Do you avoid participating in other sports because you are afraid it will hurt your golf swing? I guess it depends on how avid of a duffer you really are to take things that seriously. I am lucky because I never really played sports like baseball, hockey, or tennis enough where those swing techniques crept into my golf game. However, at my current stage in life, I definitely would avoid all three. Golf is my focus and I do not need competing swing techniques. Do you?

Business As Usual Preparing For My 2020 Golf Season

With just over a month to go before opening season and I feel now is not the time to change my normal preparation routine. Of course, world events have shocked everyone, but I am hoping that it will be business as usual (tongue in cheek) at my local golf course. Fortunately, we still have about 4 or 5 weeks before opening day and I am hoping that some resemblance of normal will return. Regardless, I am continuing my preparation to ensure that I am ready for my first swing at Osprey Links Golf Course.

The Perfect Golf Swing: The Impossible Made Possible

Most golfers are searching for the perfect golf swing. It is one of those elusive goals that never seems to diminish over the many years of playing. Over the past 10 years or so, many top level golfers have turned to the systematic approach to improving their swing. The reliance on numbers and statistics (on and off the course) drives many of the minor changes in a professional golfers swing. I do not see this changing anytime soon, but unfortunately the systematic approach may not be as beneficial to amateurs who have other stressors in their lives that prevents them from dedicating the time and money to finding their perfect golf swing.
