The Festive Season is Here!

I love the Christmas season. The winter wonderland, the sharing of happiness and joy, and spending time with the special people in my life. Although there is no golf, I will take the time to enjoy some outdoor activities, visiting, and being grateful. For me, it is also the time to give back to the community and to share some of my good fortune by donating to charities, the food bank, and just smiling at those I might encounter. The spirit of Christmas is all around us and I for one am happy to embrace it. Continue reading

Indecision Hurts the Golf Swing

I have played rounds of golf where every decision was quick. I was in a groove, played each shot as designed and, for the most part, everything worked out very well. I have played rounds where I did not think at all and went through the motions. Those rounds were less successful.

Then, there were rounds where I had to think my way around the course. I am talking about those rounds of golf where everything is going well, but course management is critical to success. They are fun rounds and I enjoy these the most. However, I have found that during these rounds, indecision really hurts the bottom line. What I Miss About Golf

I am sitting at my computer early Saturday morning writing an article for Sunday. I generally try to stay 24 hours ahead of my self-imposed due dates because a fixed schedule helps me keep my creative juices flowing.

Sunday the temperature is dropping to -3° C and it is going to start snowing again. Man I miss the warm sunny days of golf. It is easy to lament about my long winters nap, but that would be counter productive to my view of keeping a positive attitude. So, lets just do this….. Continue reading
