Product Review: PeakVision GX5 Sunglasses

PeakVision GX5 Sunglasses.

Wearing sunglasses while playing golf is a growing trend. Of course this might be an over simplification, but many of my friends wear them and yet, I have never really been a fan.

Recently, I was approached by Nicholas Feaser from PeakVision wondering if I was interested in providing a product review. I explained that if I was to provide an assessment, I would give my honest opinion of the product and not hold back. Before I get into the details, I do not generally wear sunglasses because I find it hard to read the greens. However, after my test run yesterday with the GX5s, I think I am a new convert.

A Teaser Post!

I received something in the mail yesterday. After opening the package, I can say that I was immediately impressed by the contents. I will make the big reveal on Monday night or Tuesday (depends on if I can write it in time). Jim and Blair at Sequin Valley Golf Club

Sequin Valley should be on your list of must play courses. I recently ventured down to Parry Sound for a round of golf and the full Sequin Valley experience. Blair and I did not know what to expect, but we had heard great things about Seguin Valley. During the entire trip, we talked extensively about the positives of this course and both walked away very impressed. I can tell you from the very start, I was not disappointed. No Sweat Hat Liners

No Sweat Hat Liners are designed to comfortably fit in many hats and helmets. “The Dri-LID technology is engineered to absorb forehead sweat by permanently locking and sealing all sweat inside its core, allowing the surface to the product to be completely dry, even when it is fully saturated.”

According to their website, this product is used extensively by the PGA Tour, NFL and NHL; I can easily see the utility of  this product in sports where a competitor sweats excessively. After using the product, it delivers as advertised.  Continue reading →

Playing Golf At Seguin Valley Golf Club

I am playing golf at Seguin Valley Golf Club on Tuesday. I have never played this track, but it comes highly recommended by some of the players I met during the Senior Men’s Ryder Cup matches last week. I am going down on Monday to stay overnight in one of the cabins to enjoy the entire Seguin Valley experience.
