Nursing a Back Injury

Yup, it is true. For about 5 days, I have nursed a back injury. It happened the last time I was out on the links. After the 16th hole, I felt my back suddenly get tight on the lower right side of my back. Additionally, I felt tightness through out my right hip and as such have kept it cool for the past few days. I actually cancelled two rounds (Wednesday and Thursday) which is rare for me, but it was the smart thing to do! I am on the road to recovery and let me explain what I am doing.

Are You A Serious Golfer?

I would consider myself a serious golfer. Well, to a degree I do because as an amateur there are limitations to my abilities and motivation to be a better players. This is an unfortunate reality for most players who at one time in their career were too involved to realize that their “dedication” to the game was actually hurting their scores. Trying The High Risk Shot In Golf

Every golfer has played themselves into a position where a high risk shot is needed. Whether we are in a tournament or having a great round, sometimes that impossible shot is placed right before us and it cannot be ignored. This happened to me a few rounds ago and I decided to make the high risk shot instead of playing it smart. Well, it took two tries, but I made it!

My Chipping Practice Is Finally Paying Off

After a month of chipping practice before my course opened, I finally feel like my chipping practice is paying off. I realize that I should have had a faster start, but after 30 days, I think I am still ahead of the chipping curve from previous years. It might seem odd, but chipping on DIY mat and off the ground takes some adjustments that I had not realized. But, all is good now and I feel comfortable over the ball when chipping inside 40 yards.
