The Golf Ball and Bifurcation – Update

In November of 2017, I first addressed the discussion of golf ball and bifurcation. The question was originally asked to me by Darwin Howard, Superintendent of Seguin Valley Golf Club, and at that time I was for it. I thought that limiting the distance professional golfers can hit a ball would be good for golf. Now, I am not so sure!

Before we go further, bifurcation is defined as the point or area at which something divides into two branches or parts. The main concern is that by changing the specifications on a golf ball for professionals, two sets of rules will be develop further separating professionals (and high-ranking amateurs) from the regular player. Building a Golf Routine For 2020

Well it is time to start my winter golf routine in earnest. I have dabbled with training and now it is time to step up my game. January is always a tough time in up north, due to the cold weather and lack of motivation. However, those excuses are gone and spring is less than 50 days away…..so getting off my butt is the new normal. 😁

Fighting a Golf Injury

There is nothing worse than having a golf injury when your season is only 7 months long. There is a sense of urgency to try and play through the pain, but generally this is the wrong course of action. As I get older, I find that I have a few more aches and pains than before, but that is not what I am talking about. I mean actual injury where it impacts your golf swing and as such your entire game. This type of injury provides a mental dilemma that most golfers face from time to time.
