How tight do you hold your golf club? Do you grip it like you are climbing a rope or holding precious glass treasure? This is a question that I ask myself routinely as I make different shots during any given round. After thinking about it lately, I have decided that adjusting my grip tension for different shots is a natural act and not something I need to consciously think about. However, a different grip tension is important to successful golf and lower golf scores.

Shooting Your Lowest Golf Score
This is the goal of every round of golf – shooting my lowest score. It is a challenge some days because many of us change our focus when we start to realize that our lowest score is within our grasp. For some reason we change our thoughts and thus our game changes. For me, I try to focus on one thing – course management to stay within the zone. It seems, however, that I am in the minority.

Golf is a game of decisions. The development of a good decision process leads to a strong course management capability. They do go hand in hand and are not mutually exclusive. They have to compliment each other to lower your handicap and shot your best scores. Unfortunately, many of us, myself included, deviate from the process and jump to conclusions that cause us no end of grief. It really is a frustrating time when I venture down the path poor decisions, especially if I compound one bad decision with another.
