The Presidents Cup matches start tomorrow and I am not surprised that it is not garnering as much attention in Canada as other competitions. Yes, it is going to be exciting on a certain level, but not that of say the Ryder Cup or a Major. Nonetheless, it is something that we golfers in the northern climes appreciate a bit more than just a regular tournament. I love the Christmas season. The winter wonderland, the sharing of happiness and joy, and spending time with the special people in my life. Although there is no golf, I will take the time to enjoy some outdoor activities, visiting, and being grateful. For me, it is also the time to give back to the community and to share some of my good fortune by donating to charities, the food bank, and just smiling at those I might encounter. I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

It really has nothing to do with the prizes (somewhat) but more as to how the contest is conducted. Let me explain!
Continue readingBuilding Mental Strength In Golf
Equally important as a grooved swing is a strong mental game. Like you swing mechanics and course management players need to dedicate time to build mental strength in order to avoid a miss hit due to pressure or stress. The challenge for most players is not dedicating the time to fortify their ability to perform under pressure. It really is an important aspect of focused training overlook by many. The question for most is: ‘how do I build mental strength to perform under pressure’? Well, that is a great question indeed.
