Golfing is a complex sport. Regardless of the endless claims by experts trying to simplify this game, I do not believe golf can be boiled down to any one thing. There are too many moving parts, varying situations and an endless pitfalls during every stroke. Therefore, trying to find that golden nugget is like trying to separate the wheat from the chaff. However, I think that developing singularity of focus can help lower your golf scores and yesterday, I was able to do this very thing.
Fighting With My Golf Game
I have a quick fix for your golfing woes! I am sure you have heard this statement before. If you have conducted any research, you were quickly over whelmed by the vast amount of data offering a sure-fire way to improve something with your game. As an amateur, I sometimes find it difficult to pinpoint what I need to work on first to improve my game. Now I ask you, have you ever felt this way?
Happy Mother’s Day
The tradition continues. Happy Mother’s Day to all the special people who make our lives awesome! My Mom passed five years ago, but I think of her every day and thank my lucky stars that she guided me through my life. She was a loving, good-humoured, and strong woman who always knew exactly what to say and at the right time. She was a great influence in my life and I love her dearly!
I am fortunate to have still have a loving, caring, and beautiful mother-in-law who has enriched my life away from the golf course. Bea is a very special lady whom I love very much. Continue reading
Playing Golf on A Familiar Course
I was a way for work the past few days, but I did have the opportunity to play a round of golf at the old stomping grounds the Roundel Glen Golf Course. When I first walked into the pro shop I met with a couple familiar faces that made me feel right at home. I chatted with Kim and Mike, the faces of Roundel Glen, and caught up with all the happenings. Unfortunately, I did not see the course superintendent, Jeremy Sizer, to tell him that the course looked great.

Play Mind Games on The Golf Course
There are mind games and then there are mind games. Yesterday I played a round on my home course of Roundel Glen. I called ahead to set up a game with Mike; we teed off at 12:15 and the moment we stepped on first tee, the mind games began.
It is always inderstood that when Mike and I play a fun round of golf, there are no limits the ribbing, joking and well just about anything.
For example, Mike dropped his ball as he walked to the 12th tee and someone kicked it down the cart path before he noticed. It was funny seeing him walk around in confusion looking for his ball.
However, there is always that one joke or action that tops all others. During this round it happened on the 18th green. What do you think:
It was all in fun and I can hardly wait to get even…I mean tee it up.
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
