Great Customer Service is What Makes a Great Golf Experience

Customer Service is critical to a fantastic golfing experience!

Customer service separates just playing golf from a great golfing experience! Most golfers remembers a golf course, but the real treasure is when they remember the golfing experience at a golf course.

You know what I mean. From the moment you drive on to the property until the time you leave, you are treated with respect and a feeling of welcome. Many large resorts bend over backwards to have everything at your fingertips. They have a large operating budget and you also pay for this type of quality service. However, the golfing experience I am referring too follows this same business model, yet on a smaller scale!

Final Round of Golf At Roundel Glen

Recently, I retired from 32+ years of active full-time service in the Royal Canadian Air Force. My career was exciting and, looking back, went by very quickly. On that note, my wife and I have decided to move to North Bay to be near family and to embark on a new journey. Thanks Golf Canada and Callaway for the great gift.

Thank you Golf Canada and Callaway for the great gift I received in the mail. A sleeve of The Chrome Soft and Chrome Soft Golf Ball with Truvis Technology were a pleasant surprise. At first I was not sure about the Truvis pattern, but I changed my mind when I saw Tom Watson use one during The Masters. On my last round, I used the “soccer ball” pattern (as nicknamed by the guys in my group) and my first impression was excellent.

As a member of Golf Canada I was automatically entered into a draw for two sleeves of Callaway golf balls when I entered 6 rounds into their official handicap system. I never gave it much thought after receiving the pop-up that I was entered in the draw, however when I received the email saying I had won I was pretty excited. Shortly after the emails, the little treasures showed up.  Continue reading

You Know You Know You Are Having A Bad Day When….

Golf is an exciting, adventurous, exasperating and addictive game. Some days I play as if I know exactly what I am doing. Others, not so much!

The first three holes at Roundel Glen Golf Course, for some reason, are challenging to my game. I am not sure why, but how I start on these holes is usually indicative of my round. I am not sure if it is just mental, but I always have in the back of my mind “You know you are having a bad day when…”
