I am 14 days into my stem cell transplant with about 10 days to go. Fortunately, all is going well and I expect this to be the steady state until completion. As I sit in my hospital bed, I find myself making many mini-goals that helps me stay the course of the end goal – healthy and heading home! I find that these mini-goals are as much a physical process as mental; yet hey are all connected. Continue reading

Radio Silence on Golf
Hey Grateful Golfers! I hope you are having an awesome day. I just wanted to quickly touch bases and let you know that I am still here. I am on day 5 of 6 of my last chemo treatments and I am having a bit of time concentrating.

A little support from my golfing buddies goes a long way!
I am trying to follow what I can, but as you can image it is not so easy. Having said that, I did watch Brandt Snedeker win on the weekend and that was a good way to keep my mind of everything.
All is going well as expected and I hope to back at things in a bit. In the meantime, stick with me, I will be writing again soon.
In the meantime. Have an awesome week and remember to be grateful!
I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!

We talk regularly online about golf and our conversations are always positive. Well, Mike’s tweet caught me by surprise as I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Continue reading
Being Grateful Today!
Today is not about golf, but just about being grateful. My treatments are moving along well and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon I will be back on the links!

Thank you for all the positive comments and support. I am grateful for the blessings in my life! I hope you are having an awesome day!
Golf Has Magical Powers of Healing
A short while ago, I wrote a segment on if you had shot or had witnessed a hole in one. It garnered some great stories about how, where, and when players made their miraculous shot. Some have several, while most still search. My Mom had four holes-in-one. This response just came in and it is from a dear friend of my Mom. Mom left us in 2011, but her passion for golf stills drives me to excel at this wonderful game. Continue reading
