Losing My Concentration Mid Golf Round

What do we mean when we say concentrate or focus when getting ready to hit a golf ball? Do you think of all the aspects of your swing you have to complete or do you think of one thing – personally, I am a one thing player and it makes a difference to my score. Unfortunately, like my last round, I have a tendency to lose my concentration mid round and as result, rack up the strokes needlessly. This is a something I try to avoid, but it does creep in from time to time.

Adjusting to Changing Golf Course Conditions

Like many courses in the heat of summer, the conditions are dry and the ground hard. As the course continues to dry out, I experience more roll off each shot, less spin on the ball for approach shots, and a challenge to take a divot. Conversely, when it rains for a few days in a row, Osprey Links reverts back to its normal playing conditions that are just the opposite to what I described. What is a golfer to do?

Finishing Your Golf Swing

This might seem like a natural thing, but I notice recently that I do not always finish my golf swing high or in the right position. I am not sure why I do this from time to time, but it happens and generally the results are not good. Remaining Mindful on the Golf Course

I have played a fair bit of golf lately and realize that I am not as recovered from my treatments last year as I had thought. This is okay because it is important to continue to push the physical boundaries even though things seemed to have plateaued. However, there is one thing that should never wane is being mindful while playing golf. I know my game is heading off the rails if I lose focus on making a shot or my course management strategy.
