Stop Using All Your Golf Clubs

I carry 14 clubs when I play golf. I never add or subtract from that number because each club has a specific role. Although I might not hit every club during each round, the situation will occur where I will need a specific club within two rounds or so. I realize that carrying a specific club (like my lob wedge) for limit use might not be the best strategy, but it works for my game. As I continue to play, there are days when I am not hitting a specific club well and it is costing me strokes; so, what should I do to rectify this weakness in my game. Back to putting on fast greens; there is a way to adjust and for some reason I was not really thinking about this as I let the excitement of playing a fantastic course. Regardless, I figure I would offer some tips for putting on fast greens because I sure could have used them last Sunday.

Increasing Our Golf Knowledge Lowers Scores

Over the past 10 years, The Grateful Golfer has provided a plethora of instructional advice that may or many not have helped your game. The reason I have added an exit sentence is because depending on your golf knowledge, the instructional advice was helpful or useless. If you are new to golf and really want to improve your game, then I recommend that you increase your golf knowledge and turn it into action. This process is how beginners become great golfers. Learn, understand, execute, and repeat is how golfers lower their golf scores. There is no quick fix, instant understanding, or one specific method that all golfers use to be a scratch handicapper. I will suggest that all successes are rooted in the amount of golf knowledge you use during your golf game.
