Growing Tired Of Golfing The Same Way

Many players are challenged to break their golf habits. I know I sure am, however there comes a time where every golfer has to decide their future and what direction they plan to take with respect to their game. They either dial it up or dial it back depending on their life situation and what their future plans they expect to achieve. They may not like the fact that a decision must be made and they try to avoid it, yet all golfers come to that fork and have to live with their choices. It is all part of every golfer’s journey.

Golfing With Friends Is Always A Pleasure

Golf is a contact sport. I always enjoy my time on the links with friends, especially ones I have not played a round with for many years. Our friends Kirk and Michelle were able to visit over the weekend and for this I am grateful. The visit gave Kirk and I the opportunity to hit the links. This is the first time in about five years and our time on the links was just like old times. We picked up where we left off by chatting, joking around and hitting some great shots. The time flew by and we are already planning our next outing.

The Home Match Between Mattawa and Osprey Links

As I have written last week, the second leg of the home and home between Mattawa and Osprey Links was played at Osprey Links last Tuesday. Mark and I were fortune to play a rematch between Gary and Gerry. We had a great time the first round in Mattawa and nothing changed during our second round at Osprey Links. With Osprey down 7 points to 5 heading into the second round, we figured that home course advantage would work in our favour; and it did.

The Mattawa/Osprey Home and Away Match

A couple of days ago I was invited by my friend Mark to play in the first annual Mattawa/Osprey Home and Away Match. It was a straight forward event where two teams of 12 play a two person scramble (six matches) where each twosome has a chance to win two points; One point for the front and one point for the back nine. After the first leg of the event at the Mattawa Golf and Ski Resort, Mattawa holds a two point lead over my team of Osprey Links. Since it is the first year, the idea was to keep thinks simple and full of fun!
