The Grateful Golfer Blog Exceeding All Expectations

When 2020 exploded onto the scene, I had high hopes for what this year was going to bring! Who would have thought that the whole world would be affected by a global pandemic. As spring slowly unfolded, my blog traffic continue as per normal. Nothing exciting, but consistent. I was happy with the results and forecasted that I would receive the same numbers as the previous year; approximately 85,000 views with 50,000 visitors. Then something happened, in May (the same month that my home course of Osprey Links opened), The Grateful Golfer received a massive uptake in numbers!

The Joys Of Writing About Golf

Writing is very therapeutic. I find that if I write everyday (or almost everyday) I feel a sense of accomplishment. It is something that helps motivate me to seek out other things to do and get them done. Of course, some of the tasks are very small and others larger, but the knocking things of my ‘to do’ or ‘want to do’ list is always a good thing. It is interesting how writing a small article as a larger influence on my daily life.

Finally Its Complete – My Goal is Accomplished

Wow! It Has Been A Year Already

As many of you know, I am two time cancer survivor who went through an autologous stem cell transplant this time last year. It was quite an ordeal and today, one year ago, marked the slight improvement in my health after 10 chemo treatments in 6 days with an infusion of my own stem cells. It was a very low point, but a very happy one as well because we (my darling wife and I) clung to the hope of seeing improvement in my blood work. It was an ordeal for sure and I am bless to have had a fantastic support network, outstanding medical team, and an outlet to think of something other than the dark side of cancer treatments – that being The Grateful Golfer blog!

Have a Super Saturday

Does your day get thrown into a tailspin if something goes wrong early in the morning? Because something you were working on accidentally falls apart for no reason?
